On March 4th, 2025, after a 6-month battle with cancer, William Allen Flynt, age 49, died in the arms of his wife and holding tightly to his precious big sister’s hand. Allen was born March 5th ,1975 to John Allen and Janice Kelly Flynt. He graduated from Simpson Academy in 1993 and Mississippi State University in 1997. He married Jessi Littlefield in 2002. He worked for the West Point Fire Department for 25 years and was a certified smoke diver.
Allen enjoyed team roping and hunting and used both of those hobbies to glorify God. He was passionate about using whatever talents, abilities and interests that one had to bring others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Along with his wife, Allen conducted church services at equine events across the country for over 20 years. Allen also led countless hunts as part of Passionate Pursuit Ministries’ efforts to make great outdoor experiences available to veterans and youth. He was an incredibly hard worker, a mentor, a leader, and a faithful friend. His was a life of service.
Allen is survived by his wife, Jessi, and his two children, Tanner and Caroline. His family was his number one priority and everyone who knew Allen knew that he loved those three fiercely. Even in the darkest days of sickness, Allen was focused on the physical and spiritual welfare of this family. He is also survived by his mother, Janice Flynt, 2 brothers, Tim (Sherry) Flynt and Kelly (Jenni) Flynt, and one sister, Jennifer Teater (Chad), and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Allen Flynt.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, March 9th at Calvary Baptist Church in West Point, MS. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jason Rustin, David Henley, Richard Henson, Jake Littlefield, Andy Berry, Jason Dampeer, Jeff Easterling, and Jamey Ballard.
Special thanks to Jennifer Teater, Jake Littlefield, Dr. Ned Miller, Jeana Whitacre, Dr. Craig Kovitz (MD Anderson, Houston TX), and Gentiva Hospice. The care Allen received from these individuals was an example of the most precious kind of love.
