Art Strobel

Arthur Dean Strobel known as ‘Art’ passed away Thursday July 28, 2022 at his residence at the age of 85. He was born July 11, 1937 in Greenville, MI to the late Raymond K Strobel and Violet Lillian Paulsen Strobel. He served 20 years in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. After the military he worked for Caterpillar for 20 years as a mechanic. After retirement, Art and Bob Wyman work together doing small construction jobs.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday August 2, 2022 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Military Honors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Strobel of West Point; sons, David Strobel (Cheryl of TX, Robert ‘Bobby’ Strobel (Lana) of AZ, John Strobel of Maryland; sisters, Patti Strobel Swindol (Roger) of West Point, Janice Strobel Brasfield (Roger) of West Point; stepbrother, Michael Northington (Jan) of Birmingham, AL; half-sisters, Alice Kelly (Jim), Sally Snyder (Steve), Karen Martin (Don); half-brother, Nathan Goolsby (Karen) all of  Michigan; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Herman Goolsby.
