Ava Johnson

Ava Lynn Johnson passed away Friday December 16, 2022 at her residence at the age of 13. She was born May 27, 2009 in Jackson, MS to Alan Steven Johnson and Annie Novak Johnson. Ava had a heart for all animals, big and small. She was very intelligent. She attended Hebron Christion school. She shadowed at Oak Hill Academy and took classes at St. Jude school program during her 2 year fight with cancer. She loved to read and draw and she was skilled in making computer animations.  

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Monday December 19, 2022 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Karl Novak and Rev. Russell Mord officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 PM on Monday at Robinson funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Harpole, Will Harpole, David Knighten, Cole Knighten, Dr. Ned Miller, Bryan Honnoll, Steven Honnoll, Corey Warnick. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Novak, Max Redden, Collins Price, Joseph Huffman, Matt Huffman.

She is survived by her parents, Steven and Annie Johnson of West Point; sister, Anna Johnson of West Point; grandparents, Charles Alan Johnson, Karl and Bonnie Novak of West Point; uncle, Jason Novak (Sally) of Maryland; several cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patti Johnson and her aunt, Danah Johnson Harpole.
