Bobbie Sue Blankenship Horner, 82, of West Point passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Windsor Place in Columbus, MS. She was born February 18, 1932 in West Point to the late Rivers Caradine and Jesse L Blankenship, Sr. She married Bobby Horner on November 10, 1956. Mrs. Horner loved the Lord and was a member of Strong United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Saturday November 22, 2014 at Robinson Chapel with the Rev. Jim Sallee and Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM at Robinson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Sgt 1st Class Don Collier, Andrew Hurst, Lee Horner, Chris Hurst and Zach Hurst; her grandsons-in-law, Alex Bondurant and Colby Warren; her cousin, Dr. Ed Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Baylor Horner and the staff and friends of the Clay County Sheriff's Department and the Windsor Place.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Nelson Horner; sons, Timothy Nelson Horner (Mara), Ronald Venoy Horner (Nerissa) all of West Point; daughters, Tierney Rivers Hurst (Terry) of Tupelo, Julie Horner Hurst (Dr. Chris) of West Point; brother, Jesse L. Blankenship, Jr. (Marcel) of West Point; 8 grandchildren; Donald Spencer Collier (JoHanna), Julie Kate Hurst Bondurant (Alex), Thomas Andrew Hurst, Lawrence Lee Horner (fiancée Kendra Tilley), Brianna Ruth Horner Warren (Colby), Christopher Nelson Hurst, William Zachary Hurst, Baylor Dwight Horner; 4 great-grandchildren, Anna Kaitlyn, Joseph, Marilyn and Amber Collier.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Blankenship.
