Carita Embree

Carita Lucile Embree of West Point passed away Wednesday August 28, 2013 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 93. She was born April 1, 1920 in Clay County to the late Ruby Anna Stevens and William Neal Lofton. She was a member of First Christian Church. Graveside Services will be Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 1 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN with Rev. Kirby Lloyd officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home. She is survived by son, Walter Lofton Embree of Hollywood, FL; daughter, Gloria Cox of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren, Lynette Portera, Rhyannon Embree, Gavin Embree, Catlin Berry, Demetria Embree, Jasmine Burgess, Elijah Embree; 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Walter Embree. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children PO Box 746 Columbus, MS 39701.
