Carolyn Cooper

Carolyn Justice Cooper of West Point passed away on Thursday February 13, 2014 at NMMC in West Point at the age of 95. Mrs. Cooper was born on July 3, 1918 to the late Grace Evans and Charles Richard Justice in Houston, MS. She was a MUW Graduate, a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Horseshoe Robertson Charter DAR, and the West Point Jr. Auxiliary. Services for Mrs. Cooper will be at 2 PM Saturday February 15, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in West Point with Rev. Jeff Shannon and Rev. Ben Rosenkrans officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Dill, Bucky Kellogg, David Hicks, Johnny Furr, Rodney Paulk, and Johnny Gilliland. Honorary pallbearers are the Men's Bible Class at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday February 14, 2014 from 4 PM till 7 PM at Robinson Funeral Home in West Point. Mrs. Cooper will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1 PM till 2 PM before the service. Mrs. Cooper is survived by one son Hugh W. (Vicki) Cooper of West Point, one daughter Rebekah Cooper Angle of Grenada, four grandchildren: Josh (Suzanne) Angle, Christy Carol (Dusty) Jourdan, Maureen Cooper, and Camille Cooper; and three great grandchildren: Mallory Angle, Tyler Angle, and Hallee Jourdan. She is preceded in death by her husband Hugh W. Cooper Sr. and two sisters Frances Furr and Grace Evans Millard.
