Catherine Gates

Lois Catherine Gates passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at NMMC in West point at the age of 87. She was born June 21, 1928 in Clay County to the late Myrtle and Johnny Myers. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be at 3 PM Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Doran Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Palo Alto Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be men of Siloam Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Cliett, Eddie Ricks, Robert Ricks, Chris Ricks, Kenneth Ricks, Coy Gaskin, Eric Watkins, and Cliff Watkins. Visitation will be from 1 PM to service time Tuesday at the church. She is survived by her sons, Larry Gates (Anita) of West Point, Alan Gates (Tina) of West Point; daughter, Diane Gates Raye (Mike) of Eupora; 3 grandchildren, Jason Raye, Layne Irvin, Jackie Gates; 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gates; brothers, James Myers, George Myers, Floyd Myers, J. B. ‘Pete’ Myers.
