Charles Wallace Henley, Sr. passed away Thursday December 28, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle at the age of 54. He was born September 12, 1963 in Louisiana to the late Vannie Louise Hill and James Howard Henley, Sr. He worked at Artex for several years and he was an avid West Point High school football fan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Sunday December 31, 2017 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Allen Dees, Rev. Ben Yarber and Rev. Curtis Bray officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be David L. Henley, David S. Henley, Dale Henley, Bill Boddie, Jeff Kimbrell, Donnie Henley, Steve Portera, Tim Stafford, Ben Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Swendenburg, Willie Brown, Bud Bowen, Chris Chambliss, Tommy Henley, Rosie Jemes, Fran Windham, Mary Dancer, and Roy Fisher.
He is survived by his son, Charles ‘Wally’ Henley Jr. (Audrey) of Mayhew; 3 brothers, Jimmy Henley (Angela) of Artesia, Ronnie Henley (Robin) of Mayhew, John Henley (Melissa) of Purvis; 2 sisters, Jackie Prestridge (Robbie) of West Point, Vickie Frost (Mike) of Mantee; 1 grandchild, Parker Maddon Henley; special friend, Theresa Cherry.
