Daisy Hill

Daisy Fayedell Hill passed away Sunday June 5, 2022 at Dugan Memorial Home at the age of 90. She was born September 3, 1931in Mayflower, AR to the late Benjamin Franklin Allen and Josie Hale Allen. She married Leroy Hill on June 21, 1974 in North Little Rock, AR. She was a lady of faith and enjoyed going to church and morning devotions. She loved to read especially her Bible and stay informed on current events, and participating in group discussions. She loved listening to gospel music and music from the 50’s and 60’s. She enjoyed watching western movies especially Clint Eastwood. She enjoyed bingo, games and parties. She loved the outdoors, gardening, animals and her farm where she and Leroy raised goats and Sheep, Great Pyrenees, and Cocker Spaniel dogs. Some of her favorite things she enjoyed making was her fig jelly and blackberry wine cake. She loved sweets, especially chocolate. She worked at Ozark Regional Commission (Dept. of Commerce) Assistant of the State Chemist for 17 years at Mississippi State University. She retired at 72 years of age in 2007. She served on the MS Election Board, Arkansas Industrial Development Commission, and on the staff of Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday June 10, 2022 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Butch Simmons officiating. Friends can stop by and sign the register book from 2-4 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be JR Ballard, Dakoda Ballard, Toby Wooten, Chad Ballard, Pam Kennedy, Stan Dorrah.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kason Ballard, Members of Enon Baptist Church, Members of Pine Bluff Baptist Church, and members of Palestine United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Tony Hill of West Point; daughter, Ruth Wooten (Scotty); sister, Barbara Bernecker of PA; grandchildren, JR Ballard (Cara), Laura Thompson, Shawn Ballard, Chad Ballard, Tina Smith (Mike), Trisha Dorrah (Stan), Jana Hill, Tonya Wooten, Toby Wooten, Yancy Wooten; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leroy Hill; sons, Kenneth Fred Ballard, Terry Ray Ballard; 6 brothers, Silas Allen, Walter Allen, Wallace Allen, Sherman Allen, Jake Allen, Vernon Allen; infant brother, Freddy Allen; Paul Allen 3 years old and 2 sisters, Mable Allen and Elsie Allen Sanders; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hill.
