Dorothy Pettet

Dorothy Smith Pettet, 98, of Faunsdale, Al passed away on Friday May 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 1, 1916 to the late Robert Leon and Lena Marie Smith in Chickasaw County, MS. She was a member of McCondy United Methodist Church and the Young at Heart Club at the Church. Graveside service will be 10 AM Monday May 26, 2014 at Providence Cemetery in McCondy with Rev. Steve Lampkin officiating. Pallbearers include Kenny Smith, Ronnie Smith, Joel Smith, Zackary Smith, Anthony Smith, and Toy Coleman. Honorary Pallbearers are the Young at Heart Club at McCondy Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 PM till 6 PM Sunday May 25, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home in West Point. Mrs. Pettet is survived by one son Thomas Leon Pettet (Victoria) of North Branch, MN; two daughters Edith Hinson (Virgil) of Faunsdale, AL and Carolyn Kuykendall of Vicksburg, MS. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Pettet and her brother Robert Leon Smith.
