Dorothy Ruth Tribble, known as Dot to her family and friends, passed away Monday December 9, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo at the age of 90. She was born August 26, 1934, in West Point MS to the late Nancy Velma 'Luttie' Bennett and WR Butler. She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She was a star basketball player in her younger years. She loved collecting and refinishing antiques.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday December 12, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church Chapel. Visitation with family and friends will be 12:30-2 PM on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will Camden Irvin, Justin Davison, Travis Flanders, Randy Wooten, Jimmy Littlefield, Darell Shows. Honorary pallbearers are Hayze Irvin, Dot Hall, James Flippen, Jackie Busbin, and Old West Wood Neighbors.
She is survived by her son, Steve Tribble of West Point (Thea Kay); daughter, Anita Gates (Larry); 2 grandchildren, Layne Flanders (Travis), Nikki Davison (Justin); 6 great grandchildren, Zoe Bell, Camden Irvin, Hayze Irvin, Anna Davison, Livie Flanders, James Davison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Earl Tribble.
