Edith Robinson

Edith 'Tootsie' Robinson of West Point passed away on August 8, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle at the age of 86. She was born November 11, 1925 in Vardaman to the late Lilly Putman and Charlie Parish. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she helped in the nursery for over 55 years. Funeral services will be Saturday August 11, 2012 at 2 PM at the Robinson Chapel in West Point with Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 pm at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Vipperman, Eugene Allen, Mark Rohner, Homer Dyer, Robbie Robinson, Mike Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at the Arrington. She is survived by a son, Ray Robinson, Jr. (Pam) of Daphne, AL; daughter, Marilyn Peeples (Lonnie) of West Point; sister, Gay Sawner of Memphis; grandchildren, Angel Rohner (Mark) of Birmingham, Maranda Barry (Tony) of Stansbury Park, UT, Heather Boyd (Scott) of Daphney, AL, Laurel Vipperman (David) of West Point, Katy Susan Allen (Eugene) of Strong; 17 Great-grandchildren.
