Edith Tribble

Edith Brown Tribble passed away on August 13, 2023 at her residence at the age of 97.  She was born July 29, 1926 to the late Spurgon Riley and Georgia Ware Brown. She graduated from MUW and then received her master’s degree from Mississippi State University. After graduating, she taught typing and business at Montpelier School from 1952-1966. She then taught at West Point High School for several years.

She is survived by her 2 sons, William ‘Bill’ Knox Tribble and Andy Tribble, both of West Point; brother, George Brown of TX; niece, Janet Vidnovic of TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A. K. Tribble; her brothers, Jim Brown, and Joe Brown.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday August 15, 2023 at Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Bates officiating. Serving as pallbearers are David Tribble, Ricky Tribble, Mike Mathews, Wally McGee. Honorary pallbearers are Van Williams, Wayne Hindman, Buddy Vance, Bill Nelson, George Weathersby.
