Elizabeth Poss

Elizabeth Poss of West Point passed away on April 30, 2013 at Dugan Memorial Home at the age of 96. She was born November 5, 1916 in Houston, MS to the late Cyntha Andrews and Bob Dendy. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday May 2, 2012 at 2 PM at the Robinson Chapel in West Point with Rev. Payton Myers and Rev. Doran Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 PM to service time at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Wilson, Bill Poss, Chuck Portera, Lee Poss, Ryan Fulgham, Jay Phelps, Robbie Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors who touched her life in a special way in the past years. She is survived by a sons, John L. Poss Jr.and wife Nina of Columbus, Fred Poss of West Point; daughters, Ginny Fulgham and husband Glen of West Point, Helen Wilson and husband John of Rome, GA; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her her parents; her husband, Johnnie Poss; son, Vernon Poss; grandson, Tim Wilson; sister, Louise Kendrick; brother, Edward Dendy.
