Elvis Franklin Strickland passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at NMMC in Tupelo at the age of 58. He was born December 14, 1956 in Columbus to the late Maddie and Gene Strickland. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of the Gospel Light House Church and The Rebel Sons Motorcycle Club.
Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Blackwell, Jr., Lee Blackwell, III, Robert E. Bell, Jr., Jaime Hernandez, Mitchell Dickerson, Larry Jason Smith, Jamie Busbin, Rupert Kevin Jenkins, Chance Ivy, Micheal Harvey, Austin Pressy, Jayson Hannah, William Hendon, Beau Strickland, and Hayden ‘Buddy Roe’ Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Holton, Wayne Gregory and Jason Law. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Bit Strickland of West Point; son, Beau Strickland (Beth) of West Point; Daughter, Brandi Law (Jason) of Colorado; brother, Danny Strickland (Carolyn); sisters, Emma Dale Nanna, Leona Cook (Harvey), Anita Wilburn, Annie Chandler (Boyd), and Patricia West (William); 2 grandchildren, Hayden ‘Buddy Roe’ Strickland and Sara Grace Strickland.
