Gladys B. Powell Elliott Gladys B. Powell Elliott of West Point passed away Thursday June 16, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson at the age of 88. She was born on January 24, 1923 in Clay County to the late Mattie Mae Andrews and William Raymond Blankenship. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Point. Funeral services will be held Sunday June 19, 2011 at 2 PM at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 5-7 PM at Robinson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Christopher Paul Goss, Marcus Brian Goss, Chandler Dean Goss, Joseph Tyler Goss, Herbert Wooten, Danny Bailey Randy Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Powell Goss of Conyers, GA; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Paul Goss, Marcus Brian Goss, Bethany Rae Hofmann, Joseph Tyler Goss, Chandler Dean Goss; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
