Landon Michael Henson, three-year-old son of Richard and Brandy Chisholm Henson of West Point, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
Landon was born in West Point on September 18, 2010, and was beloved of all who knew him. He attended First Baptist Early Childhood Ministry. Landon was an active little boy who loved firetrucks, Elmo, playing outside, and his family. He loved wearing superhero costumes and cowboy boots, and playing with his brothers and sister. Landon attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, having been baptized on May 13, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen. All who knew him adored his vitality and curiosity. Landon was truly everyone's baby.
Landon is survived by his parents, Richard and Brandy Henson; his brothers, Charles Aidan and William Hayes Henson; his sister, Anna Caroline Henson; his maternal grandparents, Cathy Johnson and Randy Chisholm; his paternal grandparents, Mike and Billie Dee Henson; his great-grandfather, Charles H. Johnson; his great-grandmother, Eloise Chisholm; his uncle, Darren Henson; and his godparents, Charles and Sherrell Johnson, Jr.
Landon's visitation will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, August 8, from 4-5:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, August 9 at 11 a.m. with Father Timothy Murphy and Fathers Channappareddy Basani and Thomas Reddimasu as celebrant and concelebrants respectively. Pallbearers will be Kenneth "Brother" Burns, Jim Chandler, Jeremy Klutts, and Bert Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Monte Brasfield, Reggie Pierce, and the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Gang.
