Margaret Sue Colbert

Margaret Sue Colbert passed away Friday May 12, 2017 at NMMC-West Point the age of 82. She was born August 16, 1934 in Cedar Bluff to the late Hattie Bell Donahoo and John Alexander Watson. She attended Hebron Baptist Church for many years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 2 PM at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Andy Parish officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Barksdale, Bryan Dowdy, Joey Freeland, Michael Kramer, David Colbert, Luke Hudgens, Jake Hudgens, Bryan Robert Watson, Jeremy Moreland. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 PM at Robinson Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son, John Colbert (Marcy) of Rochester, MN; daughters, Beth Vail of Columbus, Sandy Freeland (Ronnie) of Montrose, CO; brother, John Watson of Cedar Bluff; 6 grandchildren, Lisa Moreland, David Colbert, Sarah Beth Kramer, Joey Freeland, Lauren Dowdy, Amy Barksdale; 9 great grandchildren, Annalise Moreland, Hudson Moreland, Sayde Grace Moreland, Harper Hope Kramer, Rory and Evie Kramer, Gabby Moreland, Ronnie-Beth Barksdale, Camden Dowdy.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max Colbert; son, Mark Colbert; sister, Mildred Rodgers; brother, Corkey Watson.

Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Palmer Home for Children.
