Martha Bivens, 87, passed away September 30, 2022 at the Arrington Assisted Living in Columbus, MS surrounded by family. She was born in West Point, MS October 9, 1934.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Neal Bivens, parents, Frank and Elma McLean Coleman, and one sister, Barbara McLemore. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, West Point.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family which brought her endless joy. From cooking favorite dishes to celebrating holidays to picking the perfect birthday card, she never missed an opportunity to show her family how much she loved them.
Survivors include her three daughters, Lynn Utsey (Joe) Cordova TN, Lisa Morris (Mike), Watson, LA, Beth McKee, West Point, MS, one son, Jim Bivens (Michelle), Pontotoc, MS, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will 11 AM Monday October 3, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Point with Chaplain Jeff Flinn officiating the service. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is handling all arrangements.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 293, West Point, MS or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Martha’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff Enhabit Hospice of Columbus for the excellant care provided to her and the support given to her family.
