Mary Emma Kent, 84, passed away on Sunday May 19, 2013 at NMMC in West Point. Mrs. Kent was born on August 9, 1928 to the late Dewey and Annie Bell Hamby in Clay County. She is a retired seamstress of Big Yank and was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church.
Services for Mrs. Kent will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Chesser officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Joe Ed Waldrop, Billy Smith, Athen Hamby, Frankie Hamby, Jesse Hamby, and Preston Hamby. Honorary Pallbearers are the staffs of Dugan Memorial Home and NMMC in West Point. Visitation will be from 1 PM till 2 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kent is survived by her husband Charles D. Kent of West Point and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two brothers Dewey Lee Hamby and Frank Edward Hamby.
