Millard Long passed away on Tuesday April2, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born September 29, 1931 in Starkville, MS to the late Kathlyn Caston and Lewis Edward Long. Mr. Long was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church. He retired from B&W with 30 years of service and was shop superintendent. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, The Mississippi Forestry Association and was West Point Citizen of the Year for his assistance in helping bring Navistar Industries to West Point.
Funeral services will be Friday April 5, 2013 at 2 pm at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew McGrew and Rev Doran Henry officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Henry, Robert Mercier, Keith Neely, Billy Allen, Shannon Wooten, and Chris Walbington. Honorary pallbearers are employees of B&W, Olen Brock, and Jake Ammon.
He is survived by his wife Anne Long of West Point; 2 sons, Millard Long Jr. (Monica), Burlington, Ky. And Lynn Long (Lori), Houston, TX. 4 Grandchildren, Katelyn Long, Elizabeth Anne Long, Ryan Long, and Jake Long.
