Nancy Catherine Young

Nancy Catherine Young passed away August 28, 2017 at her residence at the age of 38. She was born June 7, 1979. She graduated from West Point High School and received her degree from MSU and her Master’s Degree from Delta State University. She worked for the West Point School System and was currently employed by the Starkville School System.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM Sunday September 3, 2017 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Darian Duckworth officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 PM Sunday at the church. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Pontotoc with Rev. Kenneth Corley officiating at graveside.

She is survived by her son Andrew David Young of Lindesborg, KS; her father and step-mother, Jon David and Betsy Naugher of Pontotoc; her mother and step father, Sherrill and Ralph Weems of West Point; sisters, Sarah Shannon Burrell (Jamie) of Pontotoc, Carly Naugher of Pontotoc; step brother, Ralph Weems IV of West Point; step sister, Anna Barnes of Madison; grandmother, Sarah Naugher of Pontotoc; nephews, Jay and Collin Burrell.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shannon of Yazoo City and David Naugher of Pontotoc.
