Nandra Lynn Clardy Langley passed away on July 25, 2023 at her residence in Columbus, MS at the age of 71.
Nandra was born March 14, 1952 in Starkville to the late Doris and James Clardy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She worked at Sunflower in the meat department in her younger years, then she worked at local convenient stores in the West Point area. She found her joy in the childcare at Calvary Baptist Daycare Center where she worked until they closed. She then started watching children in home for a time and enjoying it because it gave her the ability to spend time with family and her own grandchildren. Nandra never met a stranger and doted on her grandchildren. She became “Nanny”, not only loving her own, but everyone else’s children she came in contact with.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in West Point for many years. When she became ill and needed to be closer to home in Columbus, she started attending Freedom Church in Caledonia, where it became her home away from home. She often enjoyed fellowship with family and friends there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Danny Clardy.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Ashley Hefflin of Columbus, James Allen Langley (Pamela) of Vaden; sisters, Judy Clardy of West Point, Tina Caston (Travis) of Yazoo City; brothers, Randy Clardy (Thomasene) of West Point, Morris “Frog” James (Ary) of Starkville; three granddaughters, Alyson Waldrep (David), Doris Hayward (Micah), Carlee Heflin; grandson, Tanner Langley (Amanda); 7 great grandchildren.
