Omera Warren Dodson

Omera Warren Dodson of West Point passed away on Friday January 15, 2016 at her residence at the age of 95. She was born January 15, 1921 in Kemper County to the late Luke Callaway and Maggie Lee Warren. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the West Point Art Club. Services will be at 2 PM Thursday January 21, 2016 at First Baptist Church in West Point with Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Bingham, Britton Bingham, Jonas Robinson, Robbie Robinson, Mike Simmons, Bob Farrar. Honorary pallbearers are Willie Bell Cox, Lorie Chism, Lena Overstreet, Maggie Pernell, Aurelia Smith, nurses of NM Hospice. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 PM till 2 PM at the church. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Edwards of West Point, Deborah Bingham of Lake Mary, FL, Melissa Henry of West Point; sister, Sue Leary of VA; 4 grandchildren, Micci Henry, Warren Bingham, Joedee Robinson, Britton Bingham; 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie W. Dodson; grand-daughter, Casey Henry; 9 brothers and sisters.
