Paul Bird

Paul Lyndell Bird, 77, of West Point passed away Thursday January 15, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. He was born February 2, 1937 to the late Erma Bell Barry and William H. Bird. He served in the US Navy and was a self employed plumber. Services will be 2 PM Sunday January 18, 2015 at Robinson Chapel with Pastor Eddie Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lance McElhenney, Victor Henderson, Nathanel Whittaker, James Harris, Jonathan Whittaker, and Andrew Whittaker.Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home. He is survived by a son,William Paul Bird (Shontessa) of West Point; 5 Granddaughters, Elizabeth Bird, Shaunesty Gray, Corrina Green, Danielle Lightner, Anastashya Lightner. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Russell Bird.
