Pauline ‘Polly’ Miller passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at Dugan Memorial Home at the age of 94. She was born April 29, 1922 in Amory, MS to the late Jewel Turner and Luther Don Perkins. She and her husband, T.E. (Stub) Miller moved to West Point in 1951. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was very active in First Baptist Church in her later years. Mrs. Polly was a book keeper for Mosley Implement Co, then R.C. Bryan Equipment Co. and West Point Stock Yard where she retired at age 81. Mrs. Polly was an avid golfer. At the age of 83, she shot an 83. She had 5 hole-in-ones through her golf career. She loved her ladies bridge clubs and loved to play dominoes.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Funderburg and Rev. R. C. Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Suggs, Jr, Brad Suggs, Paton Miller, Chuck Miller, Drew Cannon, Brad Golson, Mike Milstead, Lee Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Chapman Suggs, Ben Suggs, Tyler Cannon, Charlie Miller, Andy Miller, Staff at Dugan Nursing Home, Dr. Ed Miller, Brett Miller,Valerie Miller with Sanctuary Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-2 PM at the church.
She is survived by her son, Charlie Miller (Myra) of West Point; daughter, Lynn Suggs (Victor) of West Point; brothers, Don Perkins (Virginia), Terry Perkins (Jane); 5 grandchildren, Victor Suggs, Jr, Brad Suggs (Carrie), Paton Miller (Carol), Chuck Miller (Jaime), Trisha Cannon (Drew); 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Lucy Milstead, Margie Kizziah; granddaughter, Madeline Shea Suggs.
