Ron Mitchell

Ronald Lane Mitchell, 74, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on December 1, 1950, in West Point, MS. Ron was the beloved son of the late Kirby and Alice Mitchell. Ron was a golf enthusiast his whole life and played at every opportunity. He was an avid animal lover and always had dogs. Ron was a huge sports fan, especially football. He was a passionate Mississippi State Bulldog fan and loved going to home games with his brother, Doug. Ron loved his family and will be missed by them and all who knew him. 

 He is survived by his devoted wife Jen Mitchell of Columbus; daughter, Brandi Mitchell (Marcie) of Sacramento, CA; brother, Doug Mitchell (Dawn) of West Point; two grandsons, Cameron Mitchell and Jac Mitchell, and one granddaughter Brook Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronnie Mitchell; a sister, Donna Mellor.
