Ronald Leister

Ronald Frank Leister, known as Jake to family and friends passed away Monday August 28, 2023 at West Point Community Living Center at the age of 83. He was born February 6, 1940 in Maryland to the late Frank and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Leister. He loved to fish, bowl and play golf. He enjoyed working in the yard, and more than anything just to be outside.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday August 31, 2023 at Robinson Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Avent, Jimmy Taggart, D R Jacobs, Chase Pennington, Brody Pierce, Creed Pierce, James Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Leister of West Point; daughters, Darlene White (Bubba) of Pheba, Jodi Pierce (Ryan) of Ackerman; Brother, Kenny Merrill; sister, Lynn Boyer; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Robin Taggart; brothers, Harry Leister and Jean Naylor; sister, Lucile Leister.
