Stanley Wilson Scott passed away Friday January 17, 2025 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 67. He was born December 7, 1957 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late W. E. Scott and Betty Knight Scott. He was a cattle farmer by trade but he was well educated. He graduated with top honors with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from MSU.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday January 21, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brandon Bates and Rev. Dickie Bryan officiating. Visitation will be 1-2:30 PM on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in Palo Alto Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Scott, Billy Scott, Jimmy Scott, Dylan Scott, Charles Scott, James Michael Peavy, Luke Langley, Jordan Childes. Honorary pallbearers are The Mission Bible Study Group, The Men’s Bible Study at First Presbyterian Church, ICU nurses at NMMC-West Point, and Jamie Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Scott of West Point; Chad Wilson Scott of West Point, Tyler Whitten Scott of West Point; brother, Steve Scott of West Point; sisters, Jane Meeks of West Point, Margaret Langley (Mike) of Thorn, MS; several nieces and nephews.
