Susie Berry

Susie Berry passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012 at Arrington Place in Columbus, MS at the age of 87. She was born July 2, 1925 in Woodville, M S to the late Bertha Johns and Charles Samuel Lassley. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Woodville, Ms. . Funeral services will be Saturday December 1, 2012 at 2 pm at the first United Methodist Church in Woodville, Ms. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 pm Saturday at the church, Rev Ray Branch and Rev. Joseph Carothers will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Wilkerson Co. Pallbearers will be John Dale, Paul Arnold, Dr. Jennings Owens, Charlie Conova, Shep Crawford; honorary pallbearers will be Julius Carter and Robert Veal. Mrs. Berry is survived by 2 daughters; Brenda Flick (Joe) of Laurel, Rebecca Holder (Larry) of Madison, 1 Son George T. Berry Jr. (Dee) of West Point, 1 Sister Josephine Williams of Brookhaven; 3 Grandchildren, Sara Beth Teixeira, Holly Smith and Elizabeth Flick and 5 Great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband George T. Berry Sr., a granddaughter Joanna Smithart and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
