Thomas Allen

Thomas Calvin Allen passed away October 12, 2023 at NMMC-Eupora. Thomas was 81 years old.  He completed Basic Training at Fort Hood , TX and AIT at Fort Gordon, GA. He completed two duties at the White House during President JFK and President Johnson terms. He also completed time at Fort Huachuca, AZ and Korea.  He received a Presidential Award and Honorable Discharge . He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. He was an auto mechanic at Starkville Ford for several years. Rumor has it that he could shoot a mosquito's left leg off and could catch a fish out of a roadside ditch. 

He was Preceded in death by parents RD & Margaret Allen; wife of 59 years Karen Allen; Grandson Mark Allen Lomax Jr;  sisters, Jewel Mickler, Merle Foreman, Marlene Woods, Louise Twigg, Elizabeth Morton, and Florene Coleman; brothers, Robert Lee, R. D. Jr., Phillip, Frank, and Bert Allen. 

He is survived by sister, Martha Cook of West Point; daughters, Sharon Fulgham (Ricky) of Mathiston and Debbie Gaskin of West Point; sons, Anthony (Loretta) and Lee Allen of North Carolina; granddaughters, Keri Lomax, Amy Cook, Valery Fulgham, Mitzi Moss (Sam), Leigh Ann Evans (Joe);  grandsons, Matt Lomax, Seth Fulgham, Chris Ward (Tina); 9 great granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, one great great granddaughter, one great great grandson, a special nephew,  Steve Girault of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be set at a later date.
