Peter Thomas Hodo, IV, age 21, of the Town of Mt. Laurel in Birmingham, AL, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Thomas was born in West Point, MS, on July 21, 1993, and is a recent graduate from Oak Hill Academy through the Mississippi State University High School Independent Study program. He was a young man who loved his friends and had a passion for cars. He was an entrepreneur who was just beginning his journey. Thomas was a member of Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of West Point, MS.
He leaves his parents, Peter Thomas Hodo, III, and Cindy Marshall Hodo of Birmingham, AL, and his sister, Cierra Marie Hodo of Nashville, TN. Thomas is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Patsy Milstead Hodo of Hattiesburg, MS, and his maternal grandfather, James B. Marshall of Lake Mary, FL.
Thomas will be missed by his aunts and uncles: Connie and Bernard Whitaker, Phil and Laurie Marshall, Cathy and Sonny Spano, and Pat and Marsha Hodo; and his cousins, April, Chris, Samantha, Katrina, Kyle, Sammy, Jack, and Hayden.
A memorial service will be Thursday, October 23, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of West Point, MS, with visitation at 3 p.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to fellowship afterward at the Harrell family barn near Old Waverly.
A service will be on Friday, October 24, 2014 in the Town of Mt. Laurel, Birmingham, AL. The family invites friends to gather from 3-5 p.m. for fellowship at Stones Throw Bar & Grill in the Town of Mt. Laurel, followed by an outdoor 5:30 p.m. Life Celebration Service at Spoonwood Lake, Town of Mt. Laurel.
Thomas had a good heart and he loved to help others. The family requests random acts of kindness in his honor. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama or Sally Kate Winters Family Services in West Point.
