Tommie Lou O’Connor passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her residence at the age of 84. She was born August 23, 1930 in Meridian to the late Annie Louise Watts and James Roy Rigdon. She was a graduate of Southern MS and she was Special Education Administrator for West Point School District and Executive Director of CCARC. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church but had been a member of First Presbyterian Church in West Point and Meridian.
Funeral Services will be at 3 PM Friday July 24, 2015 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Mike Fondren and Rev. Doran Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, MS. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Robinson, Bobby Brand, Bill Ladd, Chris Coleman, Sonny Ming. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons at Siloam Baptist Church and Board Members of CCARC, MS Association of Nurse Anesthetist, Hospice nurses and care givers, Jean Echoles, Nan Beckley, Cathy Davidson, Vickie Doss. She is survived by her husband Robert R. O’Connor of West Point; daughter, Sloane O’Connor of West Point; sister, Micky Morgan of Grand Junction, CO; brother-in-laws, Sonny Ming and Kelly O’Connor (Madge); several nieces and nephews; granddaughter, Reagan Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jim Bob O’Connor.
