Walter Moore

Walter Lee Moore passed away Thursday October 11, 2018 at the age of 70. He was born February 13, 1948 to the late Nancy Allene Holiday and Elliott William Moore. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was an ACE certified Chrysler Technician and worked as a mechanic most of his life.                               

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Yarber officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Abe Finley, Richard Moore, Rob Wilbourn, Drew Wilbourn, Aaron Conner, Kevin Conner. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Faith Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday 5-7:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Moore of West Point; son, Chris Moore of Birmingham, AL; daughters, Dena Lynn Pendley (Tony) of Corinth, Kellie Gartman (Ken) of West Point; brothers, Billy Moore (Pat), Kenneth Moore; sisters, Betty Wood, Peggy Arick (Joe), Carolyn Throop (Jason), Amy Wilbourn (Robert); 5 grandchildren, Jake McGuff, Makenzie Moore, Hailey Moore, Hunter McGuff, Kathryn Gartman; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry Kathleen Scholes Moore; brother, Pete Moore; sister, Sue Conner.

Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church of West Point.
