William Maclean

William Ferrell Maclean, 72, passed away on August 20, 2023, at his home. He was born on November 24, 1950, to the late Howard and Edna Kemp Maclean.

Bill graduated from the University of Michigan and later received his master's degree from Michigan State University. Over the years, he held many different positions but in recent years became a hospice volunteer and chaplain. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Point.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading. His quick wit and compassionate spirit will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Maclean, Samantha Maclean, Bess Hall (Ridge), and Braxton Maclean; one granddaughter, Luella Hall; brothers, Jim and Jack Maclean; and sister, Jane Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday August 26, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 10-11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's honor to the Healthcare Foundation of North Mississippi – Hospice 830 S Gloster St Tupelo, MS 38804. He touched many lives and will be fondly remembered by his family and community.
